Waikiki Trolley (E Noa Tours) · Waikiki
An open-sided hop-on hop-off trolley loops from Waikiki to the Diamond Head Crater trailhead, Kahala Lookout and the KCC Farmers' Market. It's a cheap, easy ride to the trail, but only a ride: your park entry reservation is not included and has to be booked separately.

The Green Line, which Waikiki Trolley also calls the Diamond Head Line, is a loop of about 70 minutes from Waikiki along Monsarrat Avenue to the Diamond Head Crater trailhead, Kahala Lookout and the KCC Farmers' Market (Saturdays). It stops at hotels and spots such as the Prince Waikiki, Waikiki Shopping Plaza and the Duke Kahanamoku statue, and drivers narrate as they go. The trolley is wheelchair and stroller accessible.
The catch: the ticket does not include Diamond Head entry. Non-residents still need a timed reservation from gostateparks.hawaii.gov ($5 per person), and without one the trolley just takes you to a gate you can't pass. Book the entry first, for a walk-in slot that matches the trolley times, then buy the ride. The tickets are non-refundable.
Times matter too. On the official Green Line schedule the first stop at Diamond Head Crater is 7:10 a.m. and the last pickup 3:20 p.m. (checked October 2026). A few unhappy guests got on a late run that skipped the crater, or waited up to an hour for a trolley. Ride early and check the last pickup before you start climbing. If you'd rather have the entry and the ride in one booking, the Go Tours shuttle costs more but sorts both.
Reserve a walk-in entry slot at gostateparks.hawaii.gov. The trolley ticket doesn't include it.
Catch the Green Line at a stop such as the Prince Waikiki, Waikiki Shopping Plaza or the Duke statue.

Climb to the summit and back to the trailhead stop.
Catch a later trolley back to Waikiki, or stay on to Kahala Lookout. The last crater pickup is 3:20 p.m.
