Aloha Ke Akua Tours · Waikiki
A driver-guide takes you around the southeast coast and up to the Pali: Diamond Head Beach Park, Halona Blowhole, Makapuu Point and more, in three to four hours. Be clear on one thing: this tour shows you Diamond Head from below and never enters the crater.

This is the most-reviewed tour we list, and it's a scenic drive, not a hike. Pickup is at one of seven Waikiki points, from the Ilikai to the Queen Kapiolani Hotel, and an air-conditioned van heads around Diamond Head on Diamond Head Road. The first stop, about 15 minutes, is Diamond Head Beach Park, under the ocean side of the crater near the lighthouse.
Then come the Hawaii Kai Lookout, the Lanai Lookout, Halona Blowhole, Eternity Beach (the cove from "From Here to Eternity"), Makapuu Point for about 20 minutes, the Nuuanu Pali lookout and Pu'u 'Ualaka'a State Park above Honolulu. Stops run 10 to 20 minutes each. Guides take photos for you, and bottled water is on board. Guests on afternoon departures write about watching the sunset over Honolulu from the last stop.
If the crater summit is on your list, this won't tick it off. There's no park entry and no hike, which is why we don't count it as a Diamond Head ticket. Pair it with a shuttle like the Kaimana hike shuttle on another morning, or take the hike and circle island day if you want both at once.
Seven pickup points, including the Ilikai, the Hilton Grand Islander, the Moana Surfrider and the Queen Kapiolani Hotel.
The ocean side of the crater, below the lighthouse. No entry into the crater.
Hawaii Kai Lookout, Lanai Lookout, Halona Blowhole, Eternity Beach and 20 minutes at Makapuu Point.
The windy lookout on the Koolau cliffs.
A hillside lawn over Honolulu and Diamond Head, then back to Waikiki.
★★★★★We were looking for a shorter tour that was smaller and more personal. This tour fit that description perfectly. Luiz took us in a sprinter van around to the seven vantage points [...] Pickup/dropoff was easy at the hotel.
★★★★★We enjoyed the half day afternoon tour with Pedro. He was a great tour guide and very knowledgeable. I'm glad we choose the afternoon tour because we got to see a beautiful sunset over Honolulu around 6pm, which was awesome!
★★★★★It was a wonderful tour, the driver/ tour guide was excellent, very knowledgeable, the tour is not too long to get tired and not too long to walk a lot
★★★★★Thoroughly enjoyed this. Driver was very friendly and knowledgeable. Great experience. Highlights including seeing the turtles at one stop and an amazing sunset at another.
